Last year proved extremely busy, rewarding and produced very exciting results.
It’s been so much fun alongside my owners and sponsors experiencing and watching the horses develop…..
Firmino aka Mav kick started 2019 by winning his first PSG
Dramatic Conquest aka Delilah, owned by Trish Andrews competed her first
Small Tour
International at Keysoe CDI*** in March producing a good PSG to finish in fourth place as well as competing only her second Inter I and came 5th!! I have had this lovely mare since she was a foal and its been such a great journey that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed, she is turning out to be a true superstar.

Delilah claimed her first PSG win at Addington’s Premier League with 71% gaining her Golden Ticket to the Summer National Championships and a second spot with another 71% in the Inter I. While Ray-Ban, aka UV, co owned with Jonny Clarke-West, produced a super test to finish 3rd in the PSG.
Somerford Park’s Premier League in May resulted in Ray-Ban finishing 2nd in the Advanced Medium with an impressive score of 73% and top 3 in the PSG.
Sirocco dazzled at Wellington Premier League and registered a PB 73% in the PSG Music to secure third place. While Ray-Ban claimed the Advanced Medium with 73% gaining qualification to the Summer National Championships, as well as registering a PB of 70+% in the PSG.
Over the moon when Dramatic Conquest was selected to represent Great Britain at
Bolesworth International CDI*** Small Tour in June. Unfortunately the weather didn’t favour us (unbelievable rain) but Delilah coped admirably and rose to the occasion in Bolesworth’s impressive arena, delighting us with a ‘PB’ in the Intermediate Music with 74%.

Sirocco exhibited a new level of maturity during 2019 and owner Helen Illes and myself were delighted that he was selected to represent Great Britain at

September’s BD National Championships proved a huge success for both Sirocco and Dramatic Conquest. (Sadly Ray-Ban was unwell and therefore not able to compete).
Dramatic Conquest’s trot work was super- expressive in the Intermediate I, qualifying for the music the following day for Saturday’s Freestyle, showcasing Tom Hunt music. A really great day with Delilha.
Sirocco truly shone at the BD Nationals and was positively bouncing off the floor, in a good way! He went really well and felt amazing, his trot work was super impressive and I felt an enormous sense of achievement. He continues to improve at and has impressed each outing he’s competed at international small tour during 2019 and I’m excited see how he develops when stepping up a level this year.
Dramatic Conquest’s selection to compete in the Freestyle at Horse of the Year Show produced a level of maturity that proved she is an exciting prospect for the future and I’m delighted that she was given the opportunity to gain invaluable experience competing indoors in front of a vast audience, with a huge atmosphere.
Sirocco won the Inter I at Vale View’s High Profile in November with a ‘PB’ of 73%, he was a little superstar. We have been focusing on new movements over the winter and excited to showcase them soon!
Exciting new prospects
My homebred Delbury, aka Donald who is sired by DiMaggio was broken in and ridden away. I purchased a 3yr old by Morricone who will be broken spring 2020 alongside another homebred Fast Net Rock aka Fraggle who is sired by Franklin.
I welcomed a green 6 yr old to the yard, who I bought with owner Trish Andrews, we’ve named Joolz, aka Billy. We’ll get him fitter then decide a competitive action plan for later in 2020, ideally 6yr old classes if we feel that he’s mature enough.
